What is a CoWorxs virtual membership?
A virtual membership gives your business a real, professional address at The Hub — without needing a desk or office. It’s designed for home-based, mobile, and remote businesses that need an address for registration, banking, and mail
What’s the difference between the membership tiers?
Our basic tier includes a business address and mail pickup. Our registration tier includes everything in basic, plus documentation suitable for CIPC company registration. Our premium tier adds hot desk hours and boardroom access on top
Can I use this address to open a business bank account?
Yes. South African banks require FICA proof of a business address before opening an account. Your membership includes a signed lease agreement and landlord confirmation letter, accepted by all major banks.
Can I register my business (CIPC) using this address?
Yes, our registration-tier membership provides the documentation needed to use this address for your CIPC company registration
Can I get a SARS tax number with this address?
Yes, the same lease and confirmation documents used for bank and CIPC purposes are accepted by SARS for tax registration
Can I use this address for a business cellphone contract?
Yes, for business/company cellphone accounts, telecom providers accept the same lease and confirmation letter. Personal contracts require your own residential address instead
Will this get my business listed on Google Maps?
Not automatically. Google only allows a Business Profile at an address where your business is actually staffed and can meet clients in person. A virtual-only address doesn’t qualify — we recommend using your home address with a hidden location and service area instead if you need local Google visibility.
How do I collect my business mail?
Mail sent to your CoWorxs address is held for you to collect, or arrangements can be made for regular pickup. There ate restrictions regarding size ans duration of storage.
Is there a minimum sign-up period?
Our basic tier has no minimum. Our registration tier requires a minimum six-month sign-up, in line with typical CIPC and banking requirements
Do I need to visit The Hub in person?
No — virtual membership is designed so you don’t need to. Premium members with hot desk or boardroom hours are welcome to use the space whenever needed.
Can I upgrade my membership later?
Yes, you can move between tiers at any time as your business needs change
Your CoWorxs Virtual membership agreement will permit FICA verification to open a business bank account or take out a business cellphone contract.
